I was quite nervous before flying out. I've always hidden my smile in photos because of a gap at the front and some staining that no whitening ever fixed. I spoke with clinics in London first but the prices for veneers were just not realistic for me. Emma answered every single question I had over WhatsApp, even late in the evening, and sent me photos of similar cases so I knew what to expect. When I arrived the dentist took his time, showed me the X-rays and explained the plan step by step. We agreed on 8 E-max veneers on the top and he actually talked me out of going too white, which I'm so glad about now. The mock-up day was my favourite part, I could see the shape before anything was final and they tweaked it until I was happy. The whole thing took 6 days and I had time to see a bit of Istanbul in between. Veneers look so natural that nobody at work believes they're not my real teeth. I had two implants placed under local anaesthetic and honestly felt pressure, not pain. The clinic is really modern, there's a lab on site so the temporary teeth were ready the next day. Recovery was much quicker than I expected, a bit of swelling for two days and that was it. I'm chewing on both sides again for the first time in ages.
