“As a woman I was really worried about having a hair transplant, mostly because I thought they'd have to shave my whole head and I didn't want everyone at work to notice. My hair had been thinning around the temples and the parting for a few years after a stressful period, and it really knocked my confidence. The doctors reassured me straight away. They didn't shave the top at all, only a small section at the back for the donor area, and once I let my hair down over it you couldn't see a thing. They explained they'd work between my existing hair so it would blend in, and they focused on density around my temples and the front of the parting. The procedure took most of the day but I was comfortable, the team kept checking on me and brought lunch in between. The next morning they did the first wash and showed me how to care for it. I went back to work a week later and saw friends without anyone realising I'd had anything done. Now at 7 months, the result is subtle and lovely, it just looks like my hair used to.
